State-of-the-art printer and data security

Exceeds industry standards for safety features and technologies

Safety is a top priority for us and we know it is for your business too. That’s why every device powered by Xerox® ConnectKey® Technology has a comprehensive four-point approach to security, ensuring total protection for all system components and points of vulnerability.

Security Features

1. Prevent

A comprehensive set of capabilities prevents malicious attacks, the proliferation of malware, and misuse of unauthorized access to the printer. Whether from transmitted data or directly to the multifunction printer, all access points are protected.

2. Detect

A full firmware verification test, either during start up or when activated by authorized users, issues alerts if any malicious changes have been detected in the printer. McAfee® whitelist technology continuously monitors and prevents the execution of any malicious software.

Integration with Cisco® Identity Services Engine (ISE) automatically detects Xerox® printers on the network and classifies them as printers to monitor for security policy enforcement and compliance.

Through their interactions with the market’s most important McAfee® DXL and Cisco® pxGrid platforms, Xerox MFPs employ a variety of responses that together neutralize hazards at the source as soon as they arise.

3. Protect

Capabilities prevent the intentional or unintentional transmission of essential data to unauthorized parties. Documents are not published until the correct user is at the printer, and scanned information is protected from unauthorized users.

4. External partnerships

Connect Key technology provides additional security standards through our partnerships with McAfee® * and Cisco®. We benchmark our performance against international standards with certifications like Common Criteria and FIPS 140-2 to ensure our printers are reliable even in the most demanding security environments.
